As a web designer and video producer/editor you are only as good as your portfolio. Take a look at my examples and see what you think.
My experience is coupled with one of the lowest rates around. I'm still surprised by how much some folks charge to design a website. Extremely complicated ones will be expensive, but most people who need a site are small to medium businesses who really just need a web presence.
The cost of a website varies widely and depends on a variety of things, but I am confident in estimating between $1000 - $2000 for a small to medium site.
Some of the factors that will influence how close we come to this estimate:
- Whether or not the client has a previously created logo/color scheme
- Whether or not the client has a good idea of what he/she wants
- Whether or not the client has digital copies of text, graphics and pictures
- How quickly we come to an agreement on the initial design
- How many changes are made by the client
- How complicated the design is (ie. Flash graphics?)
- Other unforseen issues that crop up
